You can go to Mars… climb any mountain… meet anyone every born.  Just sit down at a keyboard and type it and it will be so!

Not in the best of condition, my Fox 24 (1911) typewriter looks neat to me.  It types and I like the results.  Just need to get it out more and work on it… but I am happy just to press it keys.

There are still great wonderful values out there.  Full size, working; even a useable ribbon and only $7.99… At a higher price I would have skipped this model; but now I  say it’s a quality machine.

I could not resist this beauty.  It was so nice looking I had fears… which turned out to be true… the frame had broken in the interior that prevented proper placement of the platen but after some effort I got some impressions… not...

Sometimes… what you buy for parts becomes something you can not part with. This 1927 Smith Premier 30 fools you into thinking it is scrap… then it starts to play…...

I like the look… I love its feel… at 104 it makes my day great!!

When I think positive thoughts my typewriters respond by working well… when I am negative they skip and stick and refuse to create good type!

As soon as I saw the words “The art of Screwing” on page 152) I knew I had to get out my flatbed… and take a picture with it! Richard Polt’s new book “The Typewriter Revolution” had me at “The”!

Sometimes you come across a wonder… all the seller knew was it came over from Germany in the 1930’s…  then when I saw the serial number (41993) I just smiled at my treasure!

I saw a dusty typewriter, no marking… the owner could not ID… but I knew.  So I offered $21.00… just when you think you are out… the type pulls you back!

The logo said it all: “The pens successor…” People still use pens everyday… manual typewriters not so much!

The Royal Citadel… and the Singer Scholastic seem the same… except the Citadel was 1/2 the price of any Singer  I’ve come across in similar condition. Not to mention the Royal Dart…...

On a typewriter the page reflects your current state.  If you are tired… lack focus… it shows on the page and you can not hide behind spell check, perfect text and grammar checkers… what you press is what you get.  The typewriter...

Noise of a noiseless typewriter…...

I’ve wanted a Bar-let for years… so I start this new one with one…...

The Antares is a 10 to look at but just okay to type with.  The Underwood Quiet Tab has good looks and good typing.  The Torpedo just types great!!

It’s so pretty…...

I move into my third year with a new look…...

Many thoughts come to mind while one types…...

Considering its cost 100 years ago of $39.80 its a great machine.
